The Claxton House is a masterclass in architectural heritage reimagined for modern coastal living. Conceived by the acclaimed team at Historical Concepts and brought to life by Ocean Building Group, this residence pays homage to classic American vernacular architecture while embracing refined interiors by Bryan Graybill.
Millwork Artisans was entrusted with crafting a suite of bespoke fenestration solutions that blend seamlessly into the home’s historically inspired detailing and elevated design intent. Our scope included:
- Custom Carraige Doors with Integral Casements
These are featured over the kitchen sink creating an open air workspace - Custom Bi-folding Windows
Precision-built to match the home’s classical aesthetic, these folding windows feature intricate divided lite patterns defining the space of the parlor - Custom Doors and Sidelight with Integral Casements
Unique design and detail pays homage to the Vernacular architecture while providing modern functionality
Every detail of the fenestration package was approached with reverence for proportion, scale, and material integrity. The result is a home that speaks to legacy craftsmanship, thoughtfully adapted for today’s coastal lifestyles—an enduring collaboration between architect, designer, builder, and artisan.
